Christmas is over; time to move on

It’s time to take my Christmas wreath down. I can’t hang on anymore.

I don’t see my friend Sandy Schwartz much anymore so she sent us a wreath for Christmas. It was gorgeous and was actually my first Christmas decoration of the year. It had a beautiful ribbon and lots of pine cones.

My front door and storm door are too close together to handle a wreath so we hung it over the windows on the outside of the door. Oh, you can hang something there, but then the storm door blows open and then my husband complains that it will break or blow off the hinges and blow away like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz.

Anyway, we hung it on the side of the door where it can cover up the peeling paint.

It really was gorgeous and it lasted a really long time.

Now, it’s yellow and kind of yukky.

I’m sure people are driving by and saying, “Hey, that’s the lady who does the Home and Garden blog. Isn’t her yard terrible? Harold, just look at that wreath.”
