To paint, or not to paint

You won’t catch me saying this very often, but here goes. I should have listened to my husband. Ouch!

Now that I took a picture I realized I should have replaced this ugly toilet a long time ago.

About five years ago, we peeled the ugly wallpaper off the walls in the bathroom. It had branches on it and I kept looking for the birds. And it was peeling. Yuk.

We painted the walls a pretty blue. I added a lighthouse border and sponge paint.

My husband wanted to paint behind the toilet and I said no. I didn’t want to bother with removing the toilet. I didn’t trust that we’d get it back on right and I just didn’t want to bother.

My husband said I would regret if we ever got a new toilet. I told him there would always be a toilet (where else would it be?) and all the toilets are the same size.

I was wrong. We started looking for a toilet a few months ago. Our old toilet tank is about 20½  inches wide. I bought the biggest one I could

find. It’s 19 ½ inches.

Yup, should have painted behind the toilet.

I don’t know if we have matching paint. And if we do, I won’t be home when the new toilet is installed.

Yup, should have painted behind the toilet.

To paint..or not to paint? How would you handle it? Send me an email at mgouger@poconorecord.com.
