Former Millrift Post Master Mildred Pierce used to stand by the train tracks with a large hook to catch the mail bag as the train chugged past.
These days Mill Rift is the last stop for the regular mail truck from the Lehigh Valley.

Each door on the wall of post office boxes has a unique feature. Instead of issuing keys to box holders, the boxes have a combination lock. The combination is a mix of letters, not numbers.
