Nathan recommends Saw Creek Memorial Walk

Nathan is always ready for a walk

Nathan hinted at attending the “For the Love of Jane” memorial walk by fetching my walking shoes. Too soon, Nathan. The walk, planned by the Saw Creek Estates Community Association’s recreation department will be on April 28.

The walk honors Jane Monteforte, a longtime Saw Creek employee,
area resident and animal lover, who was passionate about helping local animal shelters.

In  an effort to keep Jane’s mission alive, the walk will benefit local animal shelters and charities.

Monetary donations will benefit the Pike County Humane Society
and the Monroe Animal League.

Pet food and supply donations are requested and will benefit the
Bushkill Outreach Pet Food Shelf and the Animal Welfare Society of Monroe.

The Pet Food Shelf of Bushkill Outreach allows struggling pet
owners to feed their animals in difficult times.

A baked goods sale, a sale of dog biscuits, and a flower sale
will also be held.

Please call the Recreation Department at 570-588-9329 ext. 2218 to register.

The pre-walk ceremony will start at 10:30 a.m. at Saw Creek. The walk starts at 11:30 a.m.

Additional pledges can be made in Jane’s memory.
