Using a fragile egg and a hot pink doll car, Eastern Pike Regional Police Chief Chad Stewart teaches the importance of using a seatbelt

Eastern Pike Regional Police Department visited Delaware Valley Elementary students this week to present the program, “the back
is where it’s at.”

It is a police-driven program used to educate elementary students on seat-belt safety.

“The back is where it’s at” was developed by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and is appropriate for kindergarten
through fifth grade students.

It focuses on keeping young children in the back seat, in booster seats, and in seat belts.

Eastern Pike Regional Police Chief Chad  Stewart made six presentations to the first and second grade classes of Mrs. Padgett, Mrs. Hiller, Mrs. Ross, Mrs. Lambert, Mrs. Mrs. Connolly, and Mrs. Navitsky, in total, approximately 180 students.
