Dogs now allowed to camp at Promised Land cabins

Nathan has the wrong idea about camping. He packed as if he is going to a spa.

For the first time, this year  the Pennsylvania forest and park system will allow dogs to stay with their owners at select state park cabins and camping cottages. The pilot program applies only to dogs. Do not bring your goat.

Dogs will be allowed in cabins at seven state parks: Promised Land in Pike County; Chapman in Warren County; Cowans Gap in Fulton County; Kooser in Somerset County; Poe Valley in Centre County; Prince Gallitzin in Cambria County; and Pymatuning in Crawford County.

Pets are also allowed to spend the night at designated sites in 47 state park campgrounds.
