
Nathan awaits his new 2013 license
Pike County Treasurer John Gilpin will be at the Bushkill Post Office Friday selling dog licenses.
He will be there between 9 a.m. and noon.
Owners who fail to license their dogs can face a fine of up to $300 for each unlicensed dog.
An annual dog license is $8.45 and a lifetime license is $51.45. If the animal is spayed or neutered, the annual fee is $6.45 and lifetime is $31.45.
Discounts are available to older adults and people with disabilities.
In 2011, Pike County sold 5,382 dog licenses.
Forms for the dog license can be found online. The license may be purchased online or in person at the county treasurer’s office, 506 Broad Street, Milford.
