Longtime Westfall Township Secretary Lisa Green has resigned. She and her husband are moving to South Carolina.
“It has been an extremely rewarding experience working for Westfall Township for the past 18 years. I have formed many friendships and will miss those people most of all,” Green wrote in a resignation letter.
Green’s last day will be August 21. She will be paid for accumulated sick and vacation time.
“She has been trough some of Westfall’s toughest times,” Supervisor Larry Flansburg said. Green, who has been with the tpownship longer than any seated supervisor, has navigated difficult political times brought on by the township’s multiple lawsuits.
The township advertised to fill her position in local publication and on its website. Supervisors reviewed 15 applications before offering the job to Jody Hulst for $30,000 plus benefits, annually.
