Eastern Pike Regional Police Department to offer free medical ID’s for Senior Citizens

Eastern Pike Regional Police Department will give free medical identification cards to senior citizens, Tuesday, Oct. 8, from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Matamoras Borough Hall, at 10 Avenue I.

these custom-made cards outline the carrier’s medical conditions, medications and emergency contacts. Carrying this card can help ensure that patients receive appropriate treatment and that the right people are notified in an emergency.

“Emergency responders look for a medical ID,” said police Chief Chad Stewart. “We want to provide these to prevent emergencies from escalating, or any medical error. Many symptoms can be misdiagnosed without a medical ID.”
