With signing day tomorrow, Penn State’s class appears to be set at 20 commits.
There are still two players who will have a Nittany Lions hat on the table when they announce their decisions tomorrow morning, but neither is expected to pick PSU. Five-star safety Keenan Allen, from Greensboro, N.C., de-committed from Alabama on Monday and contacted the Nittany Lions coaching staff recently, but he hasn’t visited Penn State since September 2008 and is rumored to want any school that takes him to also take his brother, Zach Maynard, who is transferring from Buffalo, in a packaged deal. PSU simply doesn’t have room so expect Allen to pick Cal, where he visited late last month.
The other player in Stone Mountain, Ga., defensive tackle Mike Thornton, who at one time appeared to have Penn State as his leader. That has changed over the past few weeks and it’s expected Thornton will announce for Georgia tomorrow.
