Those 10 pounds are pretty important for Jen
Those 10 pounds are important.
Ten pounds lost since Jan. 10.
Do you know what that feels like? Pick up a gallon of milk or water, which weighs 8 pounds. Now pick up a quart of milk. That’s 10 pounds in your hand. Heavy, isn’t it? I’m not carrying that around with me every day and more! Such a small percentage of the nearly 70 pounds I’m aiming to lose but you can’t imagine how great it feels!
I used to come home from work and lay down my sofa too tired to want to do anything. The daily clutter would pile up around the house. Mail that should just be tossed took up residence on the counter. A bag from the store hung out on the table instead of being put away. A parade of shoes marched across and around the dining room, living room and sometimes crept into the kitchen! I couldn’t stand it but I couldn’t find the energy to clean it unless someone was coming over or I took a day off to do it. You know what? I can clean it up daily now. I come home and spend 15 to 20 minutes picking stuff up, making the next day’s lunch or just standing instead of lying down!
If I get home from the gym and there’s nothing to do I’m restless. It’s amazing what those 10 pounds were doing to me, I’m so glad they’re gone. I’m going to do my best to keep them on a permanent retreat.
