a new PopRox day
Welcome to the new look of PopRox, a drastic but necessary change from the nearly three-year format we’ve stubbornly held on to for one reason, and one reason only — it was comfortable.
chris knight likes the new poprox look, so you should too
Actually, don’t ask me why the format, URL and look of PopRox have changed, I’ll never tell.
Mostly, that’s because I don’t know.
What I do know is two things:
• The Sharp logo needed to die, once and for all. We couldn’t do that until we got a new format. Now you’re only getting there with Google searches and old bookmarks.
• The new format is going to allow me to do some things I’ve wanted to in the past that I couldn’t do on the old system that will most definitely improve this blog — like embedded video …
(See! Told ya!)
… multiple pictures, an easier comment section that doesn’t require a log-in and some other goodies I haven’t even found yet. I’m still in the process of searching my way through the intricacies of the whole Wordpress thing. Tips? Anyone?
So if you don’t like the look of the new blog, I can”t blame you. Design wise, personally, I don’t think it looks as good as the last one. But I’ve already started getting used to it on the Stuck in the Middle blog, and I don’t think it’s nearly as bad as I thought at first. So maybe you’ll feel that way soon too.
All I ask is that you stick with it, because if you liked PopRox before, I personally guarantee you’ll like it even more in the next couple months when the World Series ends and I get back to PopRox as my main priority and I’ve really mastered all the cool new gadgets I have at my disposal.
And if you’re one of the people who has the blog bookmarked — all three of you — please change that now to the new URL, http://blogs.thepoconos.com/pop-rox.
As always, if you have any comments or ideas on how I can improve the blog, or just in case you want to tell me what an idiot I am, feel free to e-mail me.
the mensa meeting of the poconos
And I can’t leave without one ridiculous link I’ve been meaning to get in for quite some time but never got the chance until now: Girl Next Door Kendra Wilkinson and crappy former Eagles wide receiver Hank Baskett like vacationing in the Poconos. At least I think that’s what she’s trying to say. Or does she just not know that when you say a resort’s guest rooms are “like a cave” it’s a bad thing? That could go either way, seeing as she’s had such a brilliant command of the English language up to this point.
By the way, that was a link that was sent in to me. If anyone ever sees a link they think would be a nice PopRox link, you can send it right to me.
