FWIW – I don’t know if any of y’all are following “the Pocono ninja” as he is training and doing Ninja Warrior exhibitions that are on facebook, possibly elsewhere!

Being an exceptional athlete is not something new to Matt. Amongst the accomplishments I’m aware of he has cycled across the US of A and he did the first Half Ironman held here in the Poconos. I believe he’s done at least one RFR marathon also.

In speaking with Tim Arnst last night I learned he did an event in July where he racked up 52 during a 24 hour event near Bloomsburg!

I was mention to a dear friend about the fact that I love doing my long runs on an out and back course. ‘round the mill we used to do many group long runs up 611 and back to the mill. We had the miles marked up to 12 miles so we could do 24 mile round trips.
I had a route I would use from my home that easily allowed up to a 36 mile training run.

It’s nice to know the turf you’ll returning on plus knowing I was running back to my home helped to draw and make finishing some long runs a little easier.

The problem now, and it’s a bit embarrassing, is that when I’m tired and feel it’s time and make my turn and begin my trek home I can immediately see my home! And it’s not because my vision is so great! : (
