“It’s a treat being a runner, out in the world by yourself with not a soul to make you bad-tempered or tell you what to do.” – Alan Sillitoe

Sunday is the 36th annual Edwin Krawitz Memorial Law Day Race Judicata – 5 mile race and 5K fun walk/run. We will be celebrating the memory of Ed by doing what he loved best, running! Ed was a proud man! He was proud of his wife, his son, and his daughter! He was proud of his family, his community, and of his friends. I was reminded by Ralph Bender of how proud he was to sing in a barber shop quartet. He was proud to be an attorney and being part of the Monroe County Bar Association. Okay, no he wasn’t perfect!

Ed loved to run, any time, any place, any distance. He was good at running. He was an inspiration to our community, despite his being an attorney.

Join us Sunday morning at the Morey School in Stroudsburg (across the street from WAWA) sign up from 8 to 9:15. Race/walk at 9:30. Snow, rain, or shine. It’s a beautiful course. There is day of registration.

Come and join us in a race and a joyous celebration! You don’t have to like lawyers; you don’t even have to be nice to them at this event. It’s actually best not to be too nice to a lawyer as they aren’t accustomed to it and they can get kind of needy and follow you around as if you were an ambulance.

All we ask is you have kind thoughts and maybe a prayer for Edwin Krawitz one of the finest men to ever walk the face of this earth!

Good luck to those headed to Jim Thorpe!

Take a loved one for a run/walk!
